We have been established by a group of local organisations interested in housing issues in St Andrews, with key representatives from.
Our reference group represents these founding bodies, and supports the practical and operational aspects of the Commission's work.

Our goal as a Town Commission is to carry out an independent inquiry into housing needs and pressures in the town of St Andrews. While we have been appointed by a reference group of local organisations, all members of the Commission have been appointed on a voluntary basis, to carry out an assessment of housing need in St Andrews in a completely independent capacity. Applying our expertise and experience, we aim to find out more about the current housing situation of all groups in the area, and to present our own findings on how housing needs may be better addressed in the future.

The activities of the Commission will provide an important opportunity to discuss key housing challenges and proposed strategies for change at the local level. Our key outputs are to deliver a final report, and to hold a public forum to present and discuss the key issues raised.
